Former NFL quarterback P.J. Walker has announced his retirement from professional football. Walker, who most recently played for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders, confirmed his decision to step away from the game.

The Stampeders officially announced Walker’s retirement on Thursday. His agent also confirmed the news to 3DownNation.com.

Early Career and NFL Beginnings

Walker went undrafted in 2017 after playing college football at Temple University. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts that same year and spent three seasons on their practice squad.

In 2020, Walker made his mark in the XFL, starring for the league before returning to the NFL. He joined the Carolina Panthers and made his first NFL start that season.

NFL Career Highlights and Statistics

Over three seasons with the Panthers, Walker started seven games. He later played for the Cleveland Browns in 2023, making two starts.

In his 21 total NFL appearances, Walker completed 185-of-339 passes for 2,135 yards, six touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.

Final Season in the CFL

Walker joined the Calgary Stampeders in 2024 after being released by the Seattle Seahawks. He appeared in 13 games for the team during the season.
