The Baltimore Ravens have secured a quarterback beyond a mere tryout. The team has agreed to a three-year contract with undrafted free agent Joe Fagnano from the University of Connecticut (UConn), a source confirmed to ProFootballTalk.

Fagnano, 25, brings experience from both UConn and the University of Maine. After transferring from Maine, he played three seasons at UConn, where he made significant strides in his development.

His 2023 season was cut short by injury, limiting him to just two games. However, he bounced back in 2024, appearing in 10 games with six starts. His most impressive performance came in 2025, when he started 12 games, completing 69% of his passes for 3,448 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just one interception.

The Ravens had previously extended a tryout invitation to Diego Pavia, a Heisman Trophy finalist, for their rookie minicamp. However, with Fagnano now set to join the team’s 90-man offseason roster, roster space for another quarterback behind Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley may be limited. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL currently hold Pavia on their negotiation list, leaving open the possibility of a return to Canada if his NFL opportunity does not materialize.
