The Baltimore Ravens are preparing to bolster their quarterback room by signing Skylar Thompson to their 90-man roster, according to NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport.
During the team’s rookie minicamp, head coach Jesse Minter addressed the Ravens’ quarterback depth plan, stating,
"There's a place for anywhere from three to five [quarterbacks]"on the offseason roster. Thompson’s addition would bring the total to five QBs in Baltimore.
The Ravens’ current quarterback group includes:
- Lamar Jackson, returning from last season as the starter;
- Snoop Huntley, who also returns from 2023;
- Joe Fagnano and Diego Pavia, both signed as undrafted free agents last week.
Thompson, a 2022 seventh-round draft pick, spent most of the 2023 season on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injured reserve list. Prior to that, he played three seasons with the Miami Dolphins, making four starts and appearing in 11 total games. His career totals with Miami include 99 completions on 183 attempts for 941 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions.
