The Seattle Seahawks are bolstering their defensive unit with the addition of veteran edge rusher Dante Fowler. According to NFL Media insider Tom Pelissero, the team has agreed to terms with Fowler on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million.
Fowler has been on Seattle’s radar for some time. He visited the team ahead of the draft and previously played under Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde during Durde’s tenure as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys. Fowler spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons with Durde in Dallas before rejoining the Cowboys for the 2025 campaign.
Last season, Fowler appeared in all 17 games, recording 15 tackles and three sacks. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated 294 tackles, 58.5 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, one interception, and five fumble recoveries. Fowler has also played for the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
