Sennheiser has introduced the HD 480 Pro, a new high-end closed-back headphone designed specifically for audio professionals. The HD 480 Pro is a closed-back reimagining of the company’s popular HD 490 Pro headset, offering versatility for studio and live performance environments.
The HD 480 Pro is engineered to handle recording, monitoring, producing, and mixing tasks. To address two key complaints about closed-back headsets—comfort during extended wear and accurate bass reproduction—Sennheiser has implemented several advanced features:
- Vibration Attenuation System: Reduces distortions and reflections in the audio signal for clearer sound.
- Detachable Cable: Can be used on either the left or right side to accommodate different setups.
- Proprietary Fit Features: Includes cushioned temple pads for glasses wearers and a design that ensures equal contact pressure for any head shape.
The HD 480 Pro will retail for $479 and includes recording earpads, a 9-foot coiled cable, and a carrying bag. An optional travel case is available for an additional $15.
