Skoda is celebrating its 125th anniversary in motorsport with the launch of the Fabia Motorsport Edition, a special edition model based on the Fabia 130. This limited-production vehicle combines performance, heritage, and exclusivity, paying tribute to Skoda’s rich racing history.

Design and Styling: A Rally-Inspired Aesthetic

The Fabia Motorsport Edition features a Moon White metallic exterior with a contrasting black roof and black accents. The design draws inspiration from the Fabia RS Rally2, incorporating rally-style elements throughout.

Key visual upgrades include:

• Special decals, including “Skoda” lettering on the front bumper and “125” branding on the rear pillar;
• Rally-inspired stripes and a message on the front fenders reading “Skoda Motorsport 125 Years”;
• LED headlights and dark 18-inch wheels;
• A sporty suspension that is 0.6 inches (15 mm) lower than the Fabia Monte Carlo.

Interior: Sporty Touches and Exclusive Details

The cabin of the Fabia Motorsport Edition is designed to reflect its performance-oriented nature. Highlights include:

• Sport seats and faux carbon fiber trim;
• An individually numbered plaque on the dashboard;
• A sport steering wheel marking the anniversary;
• Special floor mats and unique door sill plates featuring a racing decal motif.

Performance: 174 HP Engine and Enhanced Transmission

Under the hood, the Fabia Motorsport Edition is powered by a 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder engine that delivers 174 hp (130 kW / 177 PS) and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque. This engine is paired with an enhanced seven-speed DSG transmission, which includes:

• Higher shift points for faster acceleration;
• Rev-matched downshifts in Sport mode;
• Revised braking logic for quicker re-acceleration.

These upgrades enable the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 142 mph (228 km/h).

Limited Production and Exclusive Deliveries

Production of the Fabia Motorsport Edition is strictly limited to just 125 units, making it a highly exclusive model. While Skoda has not yet announced the official pricing, the base Fabia 130 starts at 699,900 Kč (€28,768 / $33,910) in the Czech Republic, suggesting the Motorsport Edition will command a premium.

Each buyer will receive a special gift box containing:

• Driving gloves;
• A piece from a Fabia RS Rally2;
• A protective carrying case featuring the 125 logo;
• A certificate signed by members of Skoda’s Board of Management.
