The Pittsburgh Steelers are re-signing veteran defensive end Dean Lowry, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.
Lowry, 31, spent the past two seasons with the Steelers but did not play a single down in 2025. He suffered a torn ACL during early training camp, which placed him on injured reserve for the entire season.
In 2024, Lowry appeared in 12 games with one start for Pittsburgh. During that span, he recorded:
- Five tackles
- One sack
- One quarterback hit
- One pass defensed
Lowry has appeared in 132 career NFL games since the Green Bay Packers selected him in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons with the Packers and one season with the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Steelers in 2024.
Across his career, Lowry has accumulated:
- 272 tackles
- 16.5 sacks
- 35 quarterback hits
- 18 passes defensed
