The Tennessee Titans made a bold move during the first round of the NFL Draft by trading back into the top tier to select Auburn edge rusher Keldric Faulk at No. 31 overall.
Head coach Robert Saleh faced a tough decision at No. 4, ultimately opting to trade down while still securing a defensive asset. The Patriots initially held the No. 31 pick, which was traded to the Bills before being acquired by the Titans.
Faulk’s selection addresses a key need for Tennessee, as defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons remains a dominant force. With Simmons drawing double teams, Faulk is expected to benefit from increased one-on-one opportunities to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
The Titans gave up No. 35, No. 66, and No. 101 to move up, receiving No. 69 and No. 165 in return.
