Analogue has released a new firmware update for its Analogue 3D console, introducing the Memories save state feature. This feature, previously introduced for the handheld Analogue Pocket, enables players to save their game progress at any moment and resume from that exact point later on.
The update addresses a key limitation of the Analogue 3D, which previously required players to reach specific in-game checkpoints to save progress. Additionally, the feature helps mitigate issues with the console’s Virtual Controller Pak option, which remains unavailable when using original or wired Nintendo 64 controllers.
The Memories feature was first announced alongside the company’s detailed reveal of the 4K Nintendo 64 capabilities for the Analogue 3D. The update underscores Analogue’s commitment to enhancing the retro gaming experience with modern conveniences.
