The Tennessee Titans have scheduled two early-season matchups that will bring former coaches back to their old stomping grounds. Robert Saleh, now head coach of the Titans, will face the New York Jets in the season opener, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.

Saleh previously served as the Jets' head coach from 2021 until his firing midway through the 2024 season. This marks the second consecutive year the Jets will open their season against a team led by a former coach, following their Week 1 matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024.

Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will also return to his former team when Tennessee visits the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in Week 3, per a report from Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post. Daboll previously coached the Giants for three-plus seasons before being let go 10 games into the 2025 campaign.

MetLife Stadium, home to both the Jets and Giants, will serve as the backdrop for these emotional returns. The venue’s shared history with both franchises adds an extra layer of significance to the early-season games for Saleh and Daboll.
