After Democrats narrowly passed a mid-decade redistricting plan in Virginia, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to denounce the outcome as rigged—a familiar refrain—while spreading false claims about the voting process. Most notably, he publicly urged courts to nullify the results.
Yet some Republicans are conceding the truth: this political misstep is entirely Trump’s doing. His aggressive push for aggressive redistricting strategies has now spectacularly backfired, leaving the GOP scrambling to respond.
