Hyundai has introduced the Venue Knight Edition in India, a dark-themed special variant of its compact SUV. Priced at $10,400 (₹9.70 lakh), the model is positioned at roughly half the starting price of the US-spec Venue, which remains based on the first generation.
The Venue Knight Edition is built on the second-generation Venue, unveiled in India in late 2025. This update brought a more sculpted and boxy design, featuring an upright front end, modern LED lighting, and a taller, wider body compared to the US-spec model. The wheelbase is also slightly longer.
Design and Features
The Knight Edition stands out with a full black treatment, including:
- Blacked-out grille, skid plates, roof rails, and mirror caps
- 16-inch alloy wheels with a matte finish
- Matte black Hyundai emblems
- Red brake calipers for a sporty touch
Inside, the cabin continues the dark theme with exclusive leatherette upholstery, complemented by brass-colored inserts on the dashboard and steering wheel to add contrast.
The model is available across multiple trims and includes advanced features such as:
- Dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic displays
- 360-degree camera
- Dashcam
- Panoramic sunroof
- Reclining rear seats
- Rear sunshades
- Eight-speaker Bose premium sound system
For comparison, the US-spec Venue features an 8-inch touchscreen, highlighting the Knight Edition’s more modern interior.
Powertrain Options
Buyers can choose from three non-electrified powertrains:
- 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine (82 hp)
- 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (118 hp)
- 1.5-liter diesel engine (114 hp)
The US-spec Venue’s turbocharged 1.6-liter engine produces 121 hp, offering slightly more power than the base options in the Knight Edition.
