The Minnesota Vikings have officially launched their search for a new General Manager, and the first external candidate has been identified. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the team has requested an interview with Terrance Gray, the assistant general manager of the Buffalo Bills.
The Vikings terminated Kwesi Adofo-Mensah in January, prompting executive vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski to oversee the transition. Brzezinski has outlined a plan to conduct a comprehensive search following the NFL Draft.
Gray has been with the Bills since 2017, but his ties to the Vikings run deeper. He previously spent 11 years as a scout for Minnesota, giving him intimate knowledge of the organization ahead of any potential interview. Gray has also held roles with the Kansas City Chiefs during his NFL career.
Brzezinski remains a candidate for the permanent GM role, and additional candidates are expected to emerge in the coming days as the search progresses.
