AcuRite, a leading weather-monitoring company, is set to force device owners to adopt its new companion app, AcuRite Now, by May 30, 2025, effectively phasing out the My AcuRite app that has served customers since 2016.
The company, known for its weather stations, indoor thermometers, and rain gauges, began notifying customers via email last month that they would soon need to control their devices exclusively through the AcuRite Now iOS and Android app. While AcuRite launched the new app in June 2025 to manage its latest product, the AcuRite Optimus weather station, owners of older devices had continued using the legacy My AcuRite app.
However, the My AcuRite app will soon be discontinued, leaving AcuRite Now as the sole official application for operating all AcuRite devices. The current My AcuRite website reflects this change with an official notice.
