X Corp is taking legal action to protect the anonymity of its users against far-right influencers and accused human traffickers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate. The brothers are seeking to unmask their online critics through a series of lawsuits.

The Tate brothers filed suit against the owners of more than a dozen social media accounts—several of them run pseudonymously—last year. They alleged that the accounts engaged in a "Conspiratorial Plot" to defame them. After a Florida court ruled that claims could not proceed against unidentified defendants, the brothers amended their complaint to target identifiable users and also filed a separate complaint against X Corp, demanding it disclose the identities of anonymous account holders.

The legal battle highlights broader debates over online anonymity, free speech, and the responsibilities of social media platforms. X Corp has not publicly commented on the specifics of the case but has indicated its commitment to protecting user privacy.
