Microsoft has announced a price reduction for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, effective immediately. The move comes shortly after Xbox CEO Asha Sharma stated in a recent interview that "Game Pass has become too expensive for players."

Starting today, the monthly cost of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99. Meanwhile, PC Game Pass will now cost $13.99 per month, down from its previous price of $16.49.

Why the Price Cut?

The reductions follow Microsoft’s acknowledgment of affordability concerns raised by players and industry analysts. Sharma’s statement highlighted the company’s responsiveness to feedback regarding subscription costs.

Impact on Call of Duty Games

Alongside the price adjustments, Microsoft confirmed that new Call of Duty titles will no longer be added to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. Instead, these games will join the service during the following holiday season—approximately one year after their initial release.

Existing Call of Duty titles already available in the Game Pass library will remain accessible to subscribers.
