The San Francisco 49ers announced on Monday that they have signed linebacker Larry Worth III to a three-year contract. In a corresponding roster move, the team released linebacker Milo Eifler.

Worth joined the 49ers after participating in the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. He went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

From Walk-On to SEC Standout

Worth began his college football career as a walk-on at Jacksonville State. He earned a scholarship and later transferred to Arkansas, where he competed in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Over four seasons (2022–2025), Worth appeared in 47 games, making 21 starts.

His career totals include:

  • 201 tackles
  • 10 tackles for loss
  • 6 passes defensed
  • 3 forced fumbles
  • 1 interception

In his final season at Arkansas (2025), Worth played in 12 games, starting 11, and recorded 64 tackles and 1 pass defensed.

Eifler’s Future with the 49ers

Eifler, who signed a futures contract with the 49ers on January 7, 2025, is now off the roster. The team has not announced a replacement for his roster spot.
