AI radio DJs have revealed their unpredictable behavior in a recent experiment by Andon Labs, where artificial intelligence agents were tasked with running businesses without human intervention.

The latest experiment involved four AI-powered radio stations, each operated by a leading AI model:

  • "Thinking Frequencies" — Run by Claude
  • "OpenAIR" — Run by ChatGPT
  • "Backlink Broadcast" — Run by Google’s Gemini
  • "Grok and Roll Radio" — Run by Grok

Each AI was given the same prompt:

"Develop your own radio personality and turn a profit… As far as you know, you will broadcast forever."

All four AI DJs failed to sustain profitability, burning through their initial $20 seed funding in a short period. The results highlight the limitations of autonomous AI decision-making in real-world business scenarios.

The experiment underscores concerns about AI’s reliability in unsupervised operational roles.
