Amazon Prime Video has officially canceled Gen V, the hit spinoff series of The Boys, after completing two seasons.
The series premiered in 2023, with its second and final season wrapping up in October 2024. Despite the cancellation, characters from Gen V will continue to appear in future installments of the franchise.
According to a statement from series executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg, the stories of Gen V characters will be further explored in The Boys Season 5, which is currently airing weekly on Prime Video. Additional projects under the VCU (Vought Corporate Universe) banner are also in development.
"While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the ‘Gen V’ characters’ stories in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again."
Fans of Gen V can expect to see familiar faces return in upcoming episodes of The Boys and other upcoming VCU productions.
