In Vampire Crawlers, mana determines how many cards you can play in a single turn. Every card has a specified mana cost, and increasing your mana allows you to execute powerful combos that amplify your damage output.

How to Get More Mana in Vampire Crawlers

1. Use Tome Cards for Immediate Mana Boosts

One of the easiest ways to gain extra mana is by playing Tome cards. There are three different Tome cards in the game, and each provides a mana boost when played. Their effectiveness can be further enhanced when used in combos.

Tome cards are relatively common once unlocked. For some crawlers, they are included in the default deck. For others, you must draft them during your run. They are the most reliable source of extra mana without relying on luck.

2. Collect Mana Orbs from Random Drops

Throughout your runs, you may encounter treasure chests and hidden items on the map. These drops are random, including the type of rewards you receive. Occasionally, you might find a mana orb in these locations.

Mana orbs permanently increase your maximum mana capacity for the remainder of your run. However, they are rare and typically appear only when your Luck stat exceeds 60%.

3. Sacrifice Cards at Food Stalls for Permanent Mana

Another way to gain extra mana is by visiting food stall-type locations. These spots offer mana orbs in exchange for sacrificing a card from your deck. Once you make the sacrifice, your mana capacity increases permanently for the rest of your run.

4. Equip Refund Gems to Recover Mana Costs

The Refund gem is a valuable item that refunds the mana cost of a card when played. For example, if you attach a Refund gem to a two-mana card, you will recover two mana upon playing it. While you still need the initial mana to cast the card, this gem allows for more flexible resource management and enables combos that would otherwise be impossible.

Note: Unlike other power-ups in the game, mana cannot be permanently upgraded.
