SAN FRANCISCO—At its Code with Claude developer conference on Wednesday, Anthropic announced a strategic deal with SpaceX to utilize the entire compute capacity of the latter's data center in Memphis, Tennessee.

During the conference, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei explained that the agreement was designed to enhance usage limits for subscribers of the company’s Pro and Max plans.

The announcement coincided with immediate changes to usage limits:

  • Claude Code’s five-hour window limits for Pro and Max subscribers were doubled.
  • The peak-hours limit reduction on Claude Code was removed for these accounts.
  • API limits for Anthropic’s Opus model were raised.

A table detailing the Opus model changes was included in the company’s official blog post on the topic.
