Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe Gets Two-Part Theatrical Release

Bandai Namco Filmworks and Sunrise have officially announced the launch details for Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe, marking the return of the iconic mecha franchise. The new entry will premiere as a two-part theatrical series, with the first film scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026.

The announcement follows the franchise’s initial reveal in January 2026 and includes key staff confirmations and merchandise plans.

Confirmed Staff for Votoms: Die Graue Hexe

The original creator of Armored Trooper Votoms, Ryosuke Takahashi, will return in the role of supervising director. The soundtrack for the films will be composed by Kenji Kawai, renowned for his work on Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

The mechanical designs will be handled by Yoshihiro Sono and Shinobu Tsuneki. Sono previously contributed to Votoms: AT Stories, while Tsuneki has worked on Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These.

Merchandise Lineup Announced

Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed plans for a range of Armored Trooper Votoms: Die Graue Hexe merchandise through its subsidiaries, Bandai Spirits and Megahouse.

Bandai Spirits will release:

  • A High Grade (HG) model kit of the titular character’s Scopedog in the Desert color scheme.
  • A Hi-Metal R figure of the same Scopedog variant.

Megahouse will produce several 8cm (~3.15in) tall model kits as part of the VA-KIT Platoon line.

Additional details about the merchandise lineup will be showcased at the 64th Shizuoka Hobby Show, taking place at Twin Messe Shizuoka on May 16–17, 2026.

What’s Next for Votoms: Die Graue Hexe?

The first film in the duology will premiere in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026. The second installment is expected to follow at a later date.
