The Baltimore Ravens have bolstered their defensive roster by signing veteran safety K'Von Wallace, the team announced on Monday. Wallace, a six-year NFL veteran, brings added depth and experience to Baltimore’s secondary.

Wallace appeared in three games for the Houston Texans last season, recording nine tackles. He entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. Now 28 years old, Wallace has appeared in 74 career games, including 20 starts, with a total of 177 tackles and one interception.

The Clemson product spent his first three NFL seasons with the Eagles. He has also played for the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks.

Over his career, Wallace has logged 1,592 defensive snaps and 1,004 snaps on special teams. His versatility and experience could be valuable as the Ravens transition under new head coach Jesse Minter.

Baltimore may frequently deploy three safeties under Minter, with Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, and Jaylinn Hawkins leading the group. Wallace is expected to compete for the No. 4 safety role alongside second-year player Keondre Jackson and others.

Notably, the Ravens did not use any of their 11 draft picks on a safety this year, emphasizing the value of veteran additions like Wallace.
