BeastLink, the latest title from Grove Street Games—known for ports like ARK: Survival Ascended and the GTA Trilogy: Definition Edition—promises a fresh take on kaiju destruction. Unlike typical monster rampages, this game lets players engage as both humans and giant beasts in a fully destructible urban environment.
SuperDestruction Technology Powers BeastLink’s Unique Gameplay
The game introduces SuperDestruction, a groundbreaking destruction system where "everything can be reduced to dust." Set across expansive maps, up to 32 players battle in multiplayer lobbies, switching roles between humans and colossal monsters.
The Steam page describes BeastLink as:
"A brand new experience where humans, vehicles, and colossal beasts collide in fully destructible cities at unprecedented scale. Fight your way through war-torn urban cities, amass the coveted serum, and use it to Link with towering Beasts, each with unique abilities and combat styles."
Humans vs. Kaiju: A Fresh Twist on Destruction
The premise draws comparisons to Rampage, but with a critical difference: players can now fight back as humans. Teasers and screenshots show humans navigating ground-level destruction as massive monsters clash, toppling buildings and each other. The game also allows players to deploy vehicles—including cars, helicopters, tanks, and aircraft—to escalate the chaos.
The studio’s track record, however, raises questions. Grove Street Games’ previous work, particularly the GTA Trilogy: Definition Edition, faced criticism for its quality. Yet BeastLink aims to redefine the studio’s approach with its innovative destruction mechanics.
Early Access and Beta Details
BeastLink will launch into early access later this year, but players can participate in a beta test starting May 8. Interested participants can apply via the Steam page, with no guarantee of immediate access. The game is also planned for release on consoles.
For fans of large-scale destruction and multiplayer chaos, BeastLink could be a must-watch title as it evolves toward its full release.
