One of the top defensive tackles in the 2024 NFL Draft class has received positive medical news. Former Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks informed NFL teams via a letter on Wednesday that he is on track to be fully cleared for full football activities in early June.

Banks suffered a broken fourth metatarsal in his foot during the NFL Scouting Combine. The injury required surgical repair in mid-March. Notably, he completed a partial workout at the combine while unaware of the full extent of his injury.

Initially, reports indicated Banks would be sidelined until June. However, his latest update suggests a faster recovery timeline.

Banks’ collegiate career spanned five seasons: two at Louisville and three at Florida. He concluded his time at Florida with 48 total tackles, including 10.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
