The Los Angeles Chargers have finalized agreements with 18 undrafted rookie free agents, expanding their roster ahead of the 2024 season. Among the signees is edge rusher Nadame Tucker, who excelled under defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary during his tenure at Western Michigan.
O'Leary joined the Chargers after leading Western Michigan’s defense last season, where Tucker thrived in his system. Tucker recorded 14.5 sacks for the Broncos in 2023, tying him with David Bailey—the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft—for the most sacks in the nation. Despite limited playing time during his three seasons at Houston, Tucker’s breakout performance in the MAC has earned him a chance to prove himself with the Chargers.
