Indianapolis Colts General Manager Chris Ballard confirmed that no trade offers for quarterback Anthony Richardson were received during the 2024 NFL Draft. Ballard addressed the situation in a recent press conference, stating:

"Nothing yet, no. Nothing yet."

When asked if the lack of interest surprised him, Ballard responded:

"Nothing surprises me anymore."

Ballard reiterated the team’s willingness to wait for the right opportunity, adding:

"We'll have a little patience here and see what happens. We'll let it play out as it does over time."

The Colts are seeking a trade partner willing to assume Richardson’s contract obligations. Currently, Richardson carries a $10.8 million cap hit for the 2024 season. If traded without a contract adjustment, his cap hit would split evenly: $5.4 million for the Colts and $5.4 million for the acquiring team.

Despite the stalled trade talks, Richardson remains on track for offseason work. The fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Richardson is recovering from an eye injury sustained in October 2023 but is expected to be cleared for team activities once a trade is finalized.
