The Indianapolis Colts have officially released safety Nasir Adderley, bringing an end to his brief return to the NFL. The team announced the move on Thursday, following Adderley’s signing with the Colts in mid-April.
Adderley, a 2019 second-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Chargers, had retired in 2022 after four seasons with the team. His return to professional football was short-lived, as the Colts have now waived him.
During his time with the Chargers, Adderley made 44 starts, accumulating 232 tackles, two interceptions, a half-sack, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
In addition to Adderley’s release, the Colts also waived cornerback Kenny Moore and linebacker John Bullock on Thursday.
