The Dallas Cowboys announced Monday that they have signed three veteran players to one-year deals. In addition to previously reported wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the team added wide receiver Tyler Johnson and linebacker Curtis Robinson to the roster.
Tyler Johnson Joins Cowboys After 2025 Season with Jets
Tyler Johnson, 27, played the 2024 season with the New York Jets. During that time, he appeared in 12 games with five starts, totaling 292 offensive snaps. Johnson recorded 12 receptions for 197 yards and one touchdown in 2025.
Johnson was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. His NFL career includes stints with the Buccaneers (two seasons), Houston Texans (one season), Los Angeles Rams (two seasons), and Jets (one season). Johnson is a Super Bowl champion, having earned a ring with Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV.
Across his career, Johnson has amassed 88 receptions for 1,025 yards and five touchdowns.
Curtis Robinson Bolstering Cowboys' Linebacker Corps
Curtis Robinson, also 27, brings experience from five NFL seasons, having played 29 games with three starts. His career includes time with the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers. Robinson made his first career start last season with the 49ers, playing a career-high 248 snaps.
Robinson has logged 335 defensive snaps and 432 special teams snaps. He has recorded 52 tackles and one pass defended during his NFL tenure.
