The Dallas Cowboys have added offensive lineman DJ Wingfield to their 90-man roster after he impressed during a tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp. Agent Brett Tessler confirmed the signing, stating his client has agreed to join the NFC East club.
Wingfield had originally planned to play for the USC Trojans in 2025, with Tessler noting he had agreed to "a large NIL deal" with the school. However, Wingfield’s eligibility was later ruled out, and he did not appear in any games for USC.
Before his attempted transfer to USC, Wingfield played at Purdue University, the University of New Mexico, and in junior college. During his time at Purdue in 2024, he started 12 games at right guard.
