Dave Coulier, best known for his role as Joey Gladstone on the iconic sitcom Full House, shared a candid health update on Instagram on Thursday, addressing dramatic changes in his appearance and voice following cancer treatments.

Coulier, 66, confirmed fans’ observations, stating,

"You’re right on with what you’re seeing."
He explained that the changes resulted from extensive radiation therapy he underwent for carcinoma in his throat.

Weight Loss and Voice Changes

Coulier revealed that the treatments left him unable to consume solid food for several months, leading to a 45-pound weight loss. He added,

"So I’ve lost 45 pounds, that’s what you’re seeing."
The radiation also affected his voice, prompting him to acknowledge,
"So you’re right on with what you’re seeing and what you’re hearing."

Cancer Diagnoses and Remission

In 2024, Coulier disclosed his diagnosis of stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which he successfully treated and was declared cancer-free five months later. However, late last year, he received a second diagnosis: a type of head and neck cancer located at the base of his tongue. By February, he confirmed that this cancer was also in remission.

Despite the challenges, Coulier maintained an upbeat tone, noting that his hair was beginning to regrow. He emphasized,

"The prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma. So we’re very pleased with all of that."

Coulier has previously stated that both of his cancer diagnoses were highly treatable, reflecting his optimistic outlook throughout his recovery journey.
