Following weeks of teasers and leaks, DJI has officially announced its new Lito 1 and Lito X1 drones, both designed for beginners. Weighing less than 249 grams, these drones avoid registration requirements in many countries.
Neither the Lito 1 nor the Lito X1 is currently available in the United States. In Europe, pricing starts at €339 (approximately $397) for the Lito 1 and €419 (approximately $490) for the Lito X1.
Key Features of the Lito Series
The Lito 1 and Lito X1 share several features, including DJI's RC-N3 controller, which operates without a built-in screen and relies on a smartphone as its display. Unlike the DJI Neo, these drones cannot be piloted directly from a phone.
Both models are also compatible with alternative DJI controllers, such as the RC 2, which is included with some configurations.
Lito X1: Enhanced Performance for a Premium Price
The Lito X1 is positioned as the higher-end option, offering:
- Improved obstacle avoidance
- A superior camera compared to the Lito 1
These upgrades justify its higher price point, making it a compelling choice for users seeking better performance.
For now, DJI’s Lito Series remains unavailable in the US, with European availability already announced. Stay tuned for updates on international rollouts.
