Fast and Furious Franchise Expands to Television with New Peacock Series
NBCUniversal has confirmed the development of a new Fast and Furious TV series, marking the franchise's first foray into streaming television. The announcement was made by Vin Diesel, who will serve as executive producer alongside a team of industry veterans.
Peacock to Launch Four Fast and Furious Series
During an NBCUniversal presentation on Monday morning, Diesel revealed that Peacock will debut four shows set in the Fast and Furious universe. While the exact format remains unclear, Deadline reports that the series will consist of multiple interconnected episodic productions, with one already in development.
"As you all know, we are very precious about these movies, but over the last decade, we’ve realized that the fans have wanted more, they wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories," Diesel stated. "And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space."
"That’s when I knew that the integrity of the characters, the international appeal, what makes us all feel like family will be protected in the TV space," he added.
Key Producers and Creative Team
The new series will be a live-action production, with Diesel joined by a team of executive producers including Sam Vincent, Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Chris Morgan, and Jeff Kirschenbaum. All have prior involvement in the Fast and Furious film franchise, contributing as writers or producers.

The announcement coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original Fast and Furious film. The franchise will also be honored at the Cannes Film Festival, further solidifying its cultural impact.
