Universal is extending the Fast & Furious franchise beyond theaters with a new live-action TV series on Peacock, while the final theatrical installment, Fast Forever, is set for 2028.
Vin Diesel revealed the plans during NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation in New York on Monday, alongside Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. He announced that Peacock would launch four shows set in the Fast & Furious universe.

However, only one series is currently in active development, according to Variety. The remaining projects are reportedly in early planning stages, with no official greenlight for a full four-show lineup.
Peacock’s Fast & Furious Series: What We Know
Universal sees significant potential in expanding the franchise to television. Diesel credited NBCUniversal entertainment chair Donna Langley with recognizing the opportunity to maintain the franchise’s integrity and global appeal.
The official description of the series remains vague, with the only detail being "more to come." Despite this, the production team brings extensive Fast & Furious experience.
Production Team and Credentials
Mike Daniels, known for his work on Sons of Anarchy and Shades of Blue, will co-write and co-run the show alongside Wolfe Coleman, Variety reports. Diesel will executive produce alongside other longtime Fast & Furious producers, with Universal Television handling production.
This won’t be the franchise’s first foray into television. Netflix previously aired Fast Furious Spy Racers, an animated series that ran for six seasons from 2019 to 2021.
Fast Forever: The Franchise’s Final Chapter
Fast Forever, the eleventh and supposedly final movie in the franchise, was originally scheduled for 2027 but has been delayed to March 17, 2028.
Diesel confirmed in 2024 that the film would return to the franchise’s roots with street racing in Los Angeles. He also hinted at the return of Brian O’Connor, a character originally played by the late Paul Walker, who died in a 2013 crash. O’Connor will appear via CGI.
