Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso, currently ranked 21st in the standings, recently took delivery of a one-off Pagani Zonda Diamante Verde in Monaco. The ultra-exclusive vehicle was handed over by Mechatronik, a top-tier vehicle broker, complete with a Recaro child seat whose livery matches Alonso’s racing helmet.

Alonso’s recent transition into fatherhood likely inspired the symbolic inclusion of the child seat, though it is not intended for immediate use. The seat, a Recaro Axion 1, is commercially available in Europe and priced under $400. Designed for older children, it appears the seat’s primary purpose was for the photoshoot rather than practical use. Alonso’s newborn is still too young for such experiences, but the gesture underscores the excitement of his new role.

Photographer Alex Penfold captured the presentation of the car for Mechatronik. The images showcase the child seat’s perfect match to Alonso’s 2026 season helmet.

"The ‘Diamante Verde’ was made in 2017 on what Pagani calls a Carbo-Titan chassis. This is a ‘specialized composite material weaving carbon fiber with titanium strands, forming an incredibly strong, rigid, and lightweight monocoque chassis.’"

The Pagani Zonda Diamante Verde features a Mercedes-AMG 7.3-liter V12 engine producing 760 horsepower at over 8,000 rpm. Its design includes wide front arches and a hood originally created for the Zonda 760LM, another ultra-exclusive Pagani model. The car’s striking features, such as the intake snorkel above occupants’ heads and the ceramic-coated exhaust shaped like a musical instrument, promise an unparalleled driving experience.

For those looking to explore more high-end vehicles, Mechatronik’s inventory rivals the most exclusive collections. The German broker’s offerings make even Bring-a-Trailer appear modest in comparison.
