New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh met with free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. at the NFL owners meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona, last month. On Monday, Beckham visited the Giants’ team facility in New Jersey for a physical examination.
Harbaugh addressed Beckham’s status on Saturday, confirming that the Giants conducted a workout with the veteran receiver. Speaking to the New York Daily News via Pat Leonard, Harbaugh stated:
"We worked him out. He looked good. We just have to continue conversations. Talking with him Tuesday night. If we do anything, it has to make sense for the Giants. It has to make sense for him. We're not decided on that yet. He's not decided on that yet. Have to see where it is."
Harbaugh previously coached Beckham in 2023 during his lone season with the Baltimore Ravens, and the two have maintained a close relationship since.
Beckham has not played in a regular-season game since 2024, when he appeared in nine contests for the Miami Dolphins, recording nine receptions for 55 yards. His most recent NFL action came in 2021 with the Los Angeles Rams, where he won a Super Bowl before suffering a torn ACL.
The Giants selected Beckham with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons in New York before being traded to the Cleveland Browns ahead of the 2019 campaign. After a brief stint with the Browns, he joined the Rams in 2021 and later signed with the Ravens in 2023.
Over the past four seasons, Beckham has played in just 23 of a possible 68 games, highlighting the challenges of his recent injury history.
