Google’s next-generation Pixel 11 series could face a significant downgrade compared to the Pixel 10 lineup—all because of the ongoing RAM shortage plaguing the tech industry.

According to leaked specifications shared by MysticLeaks and reported by Android Headlines, the base model of the Pixel 11 may launch with only 8GB of RAM, a sharp reduction from the 12GB found in the current Pixel 10.

Further details suggest that Google is considering a second configuration for the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, reducing their RAM from the current 16GB to 12GB. While higher-end 16GB variants will still be available, the introduction of lower-spec models could lead to a price increase for the top-tier configurations.

The shift comes amid persistent supply chain challenges affecting RAM availability, forcing manufacturers to adjust specifications to meet demand.
