How to Complete the Forgotten Relics Quest in Windrose
The Forgotten Relics quest in Windrose is a challenging mission during early access, set in the Ancient Swamps biome. Completing this quest brings you closer to the end of the current early access build and features a boss fight. Below is a structured walkthrough to help you complete every step.
Forgotten Relics Quest Walkthrough
The quest is divided into the following key objectives:
- Speak with John Doe at the camp
- Find and search the priestess' chambers, then return to John
- Retrieve Senkamati tablets and give them to John
- Inspect the Ritual Site
- Locate the Priestess' resting place and recover Charon's Obol
Step 1: Speak with John Doe at the Camp
After rescuing John Doe, he becomes a guest at your home base. Speak with him to learn about the power of Charon's Obols. He tasks you with locating all variants of this artifact.
Step 2: Find and Search the Priestess' Chambers
Head to the objective marker in the Ancient Swamps. You'll encounter a ruin with several hostile enemies. Defeat them, then interact with the Clay Tablet to retrieve it. Return to John with the tablet in your inventory.

John informs you that the tablet contains incomplete information and tasks you with finding Senkamati clay tablets.
Step 3: Retrieve Senkamati Tablets and Give Them to John
Follow the quest markers to recover four Senkamati clay tablets. Each tablet is located in a separate ruin, and their exact positions vary across different game saves. High-level enemies guard all four areas, requiring caution.
Some tablets may be located in the Tainted Forest. If you enter this area, the Tainted meter increases. If the meter fills completely, you die instantly. If a tablet is here, recover it quickly and escape to avoid danger.
Once you return the tablets to John, he interprets the information and reveals only a few recipes. Your next task is to find and inspect three murals.
Step 4: Inspect the Ritual Site
Follow the marker to a Ritual Site in the Ancient Ruins, surrounded by enemies. Enter the site, locate the Altar, and examine it to learn more about the statue. You will also recover an Enchanted Ritual Dagger.

Step 5: Find the Priestess' Resting Place and Recover Charon's Obol
The final objective is to locate the Priestess' resting place. Interact with the designated area to complete the quest and recover Charon's Obol.
