A customized Unitree G1 humanoid robot, nicknamed Edward Warchocki, has gone viral after a video captured it chasing a pack of wild boars through an empty parking lot in Warsaw, Poland.

The footage, widely shared on social media, shows the robot jogging across a grassy area while pursuing the wild animals. After failing to catch them, the robot raises its fist in frustration as the boars escape.

“I’m herding the wild boars into the forest,” the robot’s official account captioned the video.

The stunt comes as Warsaw grapples with a growing population of several thousand wild boars, leading to efforts to control their numbers, including culling in residential areas. However, deploying bipedal robots for this task is unlikely to provide a practical solution.

From Viral Sensation to Political Visits

Edward Warchocki is part of a marketing campaign and has gained significant attention in Poland. Following its viral success, the robot even visited the Polish parliament to make announcements.

Previous videos have featured the robot performing on stage with a singer, chasing marathon runners, and participating in press events alongside local politicians. In one widely circulated clip, the robot is seen stumbling while holding an empty beer bottle and a reusable grocery bag, prompting jokes on social media.

“He’s taking my job,” one Reddit user commented.

Jake the Rizzbot: The U.S. Counterpart

Across the Atlantic, the United States has its own viral humanoid robot: Jake the Rizzbot, another Unitree G1 model. Jake made headlines last summer after moving to California, seemingly coming out as gay, and later being assaulted by streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed.

In December 2025, Jake’s developer filed a $1 million lawsuit against Watkins Jr. following the incident.
