Kodansha officially announced the development of two new anime projects and a manga adaptation for The Quintessential Quintuplets during the Toyota Arena Tokyo event on May 2, 2026.

All new projects are based on the light novel The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Four Seasons. The original OVA’s origins were not disclosed during the announcement.

A new trailer and key art featuring the Nakano sisters were also revealed. These projects will continue the existing storylines from the manga and anime adaptations.

What to Expect from the New Projects

The new anime and manga adaptations will follow Futaro Uesugi and his relationships with the five Nakano sisters—Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki—as they navigate their third year of high school. The light novel The Four Seasons consists of three volumes, offering deeper insights into the family dynamics.

The teaser art showcases the five sisters together, while the trailer highlights footage from past anime adaptations, featuring each sister in sequence.

Note: The light novel reveals Futaro’s final choice among the sisters. Viewer discretion is advised to avoid spoilers.

Release Details and Availability

As of now, there is no announced release window for the new manga or anime adaptations based on The Four Seasons. Details regarding the OVA remain undisclosed.

The original The Quintessential Quintuplets manga is available worldwide via Kodansha, and previous anime adaptations are streaming on Crunchyroll.
