New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has reportedly undergone a second knee surgery to address scar tissue buildup after his recovery from a torn ACL last season.
According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Nabers underwent the procedure to remove the scar tissue. The operation took place "multiple weeks ago," and the team has not altered his recovery timeline.
Initial Surgery and Recovery Progress
Nabers initially had surgery on his knee in late October. Prior to the second procedure, he had been experiencing stiffness in the knee, prompting the additional medical intervention.
Team’s Recovery Timeline and Expectations
Head coach John Harbaugh stated in April that the Giants hope to have Nabers on the field at some point during training camp. The broader expectation is that he will be fully prepared for the start of the regular season.
