Marvel Rivals’ first PvE mode, Marvel Zombies, has proven so popular that co-op gameplay is here to stay. And for that, fans can thank Khonshu.

NetEase Games is expanding the co-op experience with a new mode called Blood Hunt, launching this week. Early impressions suggest it may surpass Marvel Zombies in both scale and excitement.

New PvE Mode: Blood Hunt

Blood Hunt introduces vampires alongside zombies, along with high-stakes boss fights featuring characters like:

  • Werewolf Captain America
  • Ratatoskr
  • Dracula
  • Wilson Fisk (Kingpin)

The mode will be available starting April 23.

Playable Heroes and Customization

Heroes playable in Blood Hunt include:

  • The Punisher
  • Squirrel Girl
  • Thor
  • Moon Knight
  • Jeff the Land Shark
  • Blade

Each hero can equip up to four gear slots, allowing for deep build customization. This system builds on the round-to-round power-ups introduced in Marvel Zombies.

Enemy Density and Boss Fights

Marvel Zombies set a high bar for enemy density, combining large numbers of foes with varied abilities. The mode’s popularity led NetEase to extend its availability longer than planned. Blood Hunt aims to surpass that with:

  • Massive waves of vampires and bats
  • Zombies as secondary enemies
  • Higher damage numbers on-screen
  • New boss fights with iconic villains

The result? A more satisfying and chaotic combat experience.

Lore Integration and Final Boss Tease

Blood Hunt appears to deepen the game’s lore. Kingpin is teased as the final boss, aligning with the season’s storyline set in Manhattan. His involvement suggests a major narrative push for the mode.

Player Reactions and Expectations

Fans are eagerly anticipating Blood Hunt, especially those who enjoyed Marvel Zombies. If the new mode delivers on its promises, it could bring players back to Marvel Rivals full-time—at least until the mode concludes on April 23.
