Two NFC teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears, have extended rookie minicamp invitations to quarterback Maverick McIvor, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
McIvor, 25, previously played three seasons at Texas Tech before transferring to Abilene Christian, where he started for three years. During his tenure with the FCS-level program, he helped secure a conference championship title.
Granted a seventh year of eligibility, McIvor spent the 2025 season at Western Kentucky, appearing in seven games. Despite missing six contests due to a left shoulder injury, he completed 67% of his passes for 2,062 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
