Christopher McQuarrie, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, has signed on to write, direct, and produce a live-action adaptation of the bestselling Battlefield video game series.
Michael B. Jordan, fresh off his Oscar win for Sinners, will serve as a producer and may also take on a starring role in the film, according to a source who spoke to TheWrap. Electronic Arts, the creator of the Battlefield franchise, will co-produce the project.
