Patriots coach Mike Vrabel addressed trade rumors surrounding Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown during a press conference on Tuesday, firmly dismissing speculation about a potential deal after June 1.
Vrabel was asked about a report from Adam Schefter indicating the Patriots were "likely" to acquire Brown. His response was direct: "No. I mean, I think we are going to continue to try to strengthen our team."
The Patriots' head coach then outlined the team’s immediate priorities, stating, "The first focus is going to be on Thursday night and making sure that we get that right, and then we’ll focus on Friday. Saturday is always an important day. Just to continue to build our roster."
Vrabel also mentioned that Eliot Wolf and Ryan Cowden would engage in numerous conversations with other teams, but clarified that the draft remains the top priority. He said, "Our first focus is gonna be on the draft."
Meanwhile, Brown is not participating in the Eagles' voluntary offseason program as he seeks clarity on his future. Vrabel previously coached Brown during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans.
