After months of delays and uncertainty, Yacht Club Games has officially confirmed the release date for Mina the Hollower, a The Legend of Zelda-style adventure and the next major title from the creators of Shovel Knight.

The game will launch on May 29, 2026, priced at $19.99. This follows a series of postponements, including a delay from its originally planned Halloween 2025 release, which was attributed to final polish and balancing.

From Uncertainty to a Confirmed Release Date

Mina the Hollower’s journey to release has been marked by delays. Initially expected around October 2025, the game was pushed back due to the need for final quality adjustments. At the time, Yacht Club Games described the delay as non-major, but the revised timeline extended by approximately 30 weeks.

What to Expect in the Game

A new trailer released by Yacht Club Games offers a first look at the gameplay, showcasing scenarios and segments players can anticipate. The game adopts an overhead perspective reminiscent of the Game Boy Color era, drawing inspiration from early The Legend of Zelda titles.

"The game is designed to feature an overhead, Game Boy Color sort of aesthetic, just like some of the early The Legend of Zelda games."

Platforms and Availability

Mina the Hollower will be available on the following platforms:

  • Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2)
  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X
  • PC

For now, only digital copies have been confirmed. However, Yacht Club Games previously released retail versions of Shovel Knight after its launch, leaving open the possibility for physical editions in the future.
