Shueisha and Netflix have officially announced the upcoming launch of a new One Piece anime adaptation on the streaming platform in February 2027.

The highly anticipated series will be produced by WIT Studio, the renowned animation studio behind hits like Spy x Family and the first three seasons of Attack on Titan.

First Season Details: Seven Episodes, 300 Minutes

The debut season will consist of seven episodes, covering the first East Blue Saga—specifically, the first fifty chapters of Eiichiro Oda’s original manga. All seven episodes, totaling approximately 300 minutes of runtime, will be released simultaneously when the series premieres in early 2027.

Key Staff Behind the New Adaptation

The production team includes several members who previously worked on Attack on Titan:

  • Masashi Koizuka as director
  • Kyoji Asano as character design director
  • Ryoma Kawamura as animation producer

Netflix’s Ongoing Commitment to One Piece

This marks Netflix’s second exclusive One Piece adaptation. The platform previously released a live-action version, which has already aired in two seasons. A third season of the live-action series is also confirmed for release in 2027.

The new anime adaptation will be available worldwide on Netflix starting in February 2027, with all seven episodes of the first season premiering at once.
