CCP Japan has announced the upcoming release of two new Middle Size Series (MSS) Sadako figures, including a glow-in-the-dark variant. Both versions are scheduled to debut in Japan in September 2026.

The standard edition is priced at ¥5,280 (~$34), while the glow-in-the-dark version costs ¥5,610 (~$36). Retailers such as AmiAmi and Big Bad Toy Store are among the first to offer worldwide shipping for pre-orders.

Design and Features

The figures are based on the original Japanese depiction of Sadako but share similarities with the US remake. Standing at approximately 5 inches (13 cm) tall, both figures adopt a chibi-style approach, featuring Sadako in her iconic white dress with long black hair covering her face.

The standard version includes a detailed paint job with red accents at the tips of her fingers and toes, along with defined hair and skin tones. In contrast, the glow-in-the-dark variant has a translucent yellow base, black tones in her hair and dress edges, and pink accents on her fingernails and toenails.

Sadako in Pop Culture

Sadako, the iconic character from The Ring, remains a popular figure in merchandise, appearing on keychains, shirts, and collectibles. Recent releases include a Bandai Namco prize figure that depicts her emerging from a flatscreen TV, allowing for interactive display.
