The New Orleans Saints have officially announced the signings of cornerback Martin Emerson and linebacker Anfernee Jennings.
Emerson visited the team on Tuesday, and NFL reporter Josina Anderson confirmed the agreement before the Saints made the move official. The team's plan to sign Jennings was reported over the weekend.
Emerson missed the entirety of the 2023 season due to a torn Achilles tendon. The 2022 third-round draft pick recorded 204 tackles, four interceptions, one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 51 games for the Cleveland Browns.
Jennings, a 2020 third-round selection, brings experience with 79 appearances for the New England Patriots. In those games, he tallied 233 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
