The NFL has taken a playful yet strategic approach to announcing its 2024 regular-season schedule. In an email blast sent on Thursday evening, the league teased fans with the message: "The schedule release is almost here!"

This announcement follows earlier reports from CNBC’s Alex Sherman, who revealed that the NFL plans to unveil the schedule on either Wednesday, May 13, or Thursday, May 14. The league had previously hinted at a release during the week of May 18, but emphasized that Commissioner Roger Goodell will only greenlight the schedule when he deems it ready.

While the full slate of 272 games remains under wraps, the NFL has confirmed two matchups:

  • 49ers vs. Rams – Thursday, September 10 (reportedly set to stream on Netflix)
  • Ravens vs. Cowboys – Sunday, September 27

Additionally, the Seahawks are slated to host the first game of the season on Wednesday, September 9, though the opposing team has not yet been announced.
